How much does a website cost in Bali? A 2026 price guide

By Super Admin · 22 Sep 2026 · 5 min read

Ask five Bali web vendors what a website costs and you will get five answers that do not overlap. Rp 500 ribu. Rp 4 juta. Rp 25 juta. Rp 120 juta. Every one of them is telling the truth about a different product.

That range is the first thing to understand, because most pricing confusion is not a disagreement about price. It is two people describing two different things with the same word. This guide separates the bands, then shows what moves a quote inside a band.

The four bands, and who they are for

Indonesian web pricing is not one market. It is four segments that rarely compete with each other.

SegmentPrice bandWho buys itWhat they get
Instant templateRp 300K to 1,5jtWarung, personal projectsA ready theme with your logo swapped in, 3 to 5 pages, live in days
Freelancer or small studioRp 1jt to 15jtSmall business, startupsCustomised WordPress or a light custom build, 2 to 4 weeks
Local agencyRp 5jt to 25jt, higher for complex workEstablished SMBs, hospitalityA team, a structured process, design plus build plus SEO
Enterprise or custom applicationRp 100jt and upCorporates, government, e-commerce at scaleA custom stack, integrations, months of work

None of these is a rip-off. The mistake is buying from one band while expecting what another band delivers. A Rp 500 ribu site is not a badly made Rp 20 juta site. It is a different object: you rent a theme, you usually do not own the code, and it will not be tuned for search or speed because there is no budget in it for that work.

What actually moves the price inside a band

Once you are comparing vendors in the same band, the quote is driven by a short list of decisions. They are worth knowing before you ask for a number, because each one is a choice, not a mystery.

  • Page count and shape. Five pages is not ten pages. A long editorial page with real photography is not a form page.
  • Languages. English plus Bahasa Indonesia doubles the copy, the metadata, and the review work.
  • Booking or payments. A WhatsApp button is cheap. A booking engine, availability calendar, or payment gateway is not, and it carries ongoing third-party fees.
  • Content. If you supply final copy and photography, the quote drops. If the studio writes and sources, it rises.
  • Speed and SEO. Retrofitting these is more expensive than building them in, which is why they belong in the first conversation.
  • Ownership. Owning your code and your accounts costs more up front and less over five years.

The hospitality case: price against commission, not against a template

If you run a villa, guesthouse, or hotel, the template comparison is the wrong frame. Your real number is the commission you pay on every booking.

Online travel agencies commonly take 15 to 20 percent of each booking. On a villa billing Rp 150 juta a year through those channels, that is roughly Rp 22 juta to Rp 30 juta handed over annually.

A direct-booking site that shifts even a modest share of those guests to your own site pays for itself inside the first year. After that, the same bookings keep the margin instead of giving it away.

That reframes the decision from "what does a website cost" to "what does this channel cost me every year". One is a one-time line item. The other is a recurring leak.

What we charge

We publish our prices, because in this market transparency saves everyone a round of guessing. These are starting points for a fixed scope. If a smaller build does the job, we will say so.

Project typeEssentialProfessionalSignature
Landing pageRp 2.500.000Rp 4.500.000Rp 7.000.000
Company profileRp 5.000.000Rp 12.000.000Rp 18.000.000
Hospitality siteRp 8.000.000Rp 15.000.000Rp 28.000.000
E-commerceRp 6.000.000Rp 12.000.000Rp 25.000.000
Redesign and optimizationRp 3.000.000Rp 6.000.000Rp 12.000.000

Every build includes domain, hosting, and SSL for the first year, a mobile-first responsive design, an SEO foundation, analytics, speed and caching work, and a real handover with source and access. None of those come back later as a separate invoice.

Prices exclude VAT and third-party costs such as payment gateways and booking engines.

The recurring part, which is where the real cost lives

A website is not a one-time purchase. It needs updates, backups, security, and steady improvement. Year two hosting and renewal is the point where a lot of cheap builds quietly become expensive, because the original vendor disappears or the renewal arrives as a surprise.

PlanPriceWhat it covers
Care BasicRp 350.000 /moUpdates, backups, uptime monitoring, security
Care ProRp 750.000 /moBasic plus content edits, speed and SEO monitoring
GrowthRp 2.500.000+ /moSEO, content, and campaign support

Annual prepay saves two months. We separate the build from the care on purpose: you should be able to see what you are paying for after launch, rather than discovering it in a renewal notice.

How to choose without getting it wrong

  1. Decide which band you are buying in. Then compare vendors only inside that band.
  2. Ask what you own at the end. Code, domain, hosting account, analytics. If the answer is vague, that is the answer.
  3. Ask what happens in year two. Renewal cost, support terms, and who holds the accounts.
  4. Put the scope in writing. Fixed price only works with a fixed scope. Scope creep is what turns a fair quote into a bad experience.
  5. Do not shop on price alone. The cheapest quote and the most expensive one are usually not describing the same deliverable.

If you want a straight answer on your own project, tell us what you are building and we will tell you which band it belongs in, even when that band is smaller than you expected.
